The
Department has a state-of-art catheter
laboratory in which complicated
procedures are carried out e.g.
angiography, angioplasty with insertion
of stent, Electrophysiological studies
and ablation treatment for complicated
cardiac arrthymia's. The Department
also performs pacemaker implants
etc. A panel of eminent cardiologists
are attached to the Haemodynamic
Laboratory.

| Haematology |

The
Haemotology Department has facilities
for testing entire haemotological profile
including coagulation profile and perform
bone marrow aspirations, biopsies and
treating leukemia patients. The Department
also has a Transfusion Medical Unit where
blood transfusion is administered to thalassaemia
patients and those suffering from severe
anaemia.

& RIA |

Our
Immunoserology and RIA sections have a
wide spectrum of tests for Hormonal Drug
Assays and Tumour Markers. We also do
Hepatitis Markers, torch profile.
HIV, HbsAg & HCV results are made
available within an hour of receiving
blood samples in the department.
Each and every section of the department
follows a strict Quality Control programme
and we give a lot of attention and importance
to patient care.

Medicine

Besides
treating common medical conditions, the
Department of Medicine functions as a
referral centre for unsolved and difficult
cases from other centres in India and
abroad. Over the last 20 years, the department
has maintained seperate records of all
serious and interesting problems, which
form the basis of research papers published
in reputed journals.

The
department's special interest in respiratory
diseases is supported by an excellent Pulmonary
Function Test Laboratory, equipped with
the latest Jaegar Masterlab and Body
Plethymograph. The department also has
a range of fibreoptic bronchoscopes.
